Welcome to the Online Office of the Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney
… Continued from home page
The primary philosophy of my office centers on collaboration. My team and I strive to actively participate with each of the 17 law enforcement agencies that operate in Kenton County. Our office not only works closely with major case detectives investigating felony cases, but we also provide legal assistance and guidance to all local patrol officers who seek it. To that end, we have created a specific section of the website to provide criminal justice resources directly for these agencies and officers.
Another important role of this office is to assist victims of crime. My office employs a full-time victim’s advocate, whose job is to communicate with victims, help guide them through the criminal justice process, and provide assistance to the victims and our prosecutors during hearings and trials. To further assist victims and their families, we have created a special section of website devoted to these individuals.
As an elected public servant, I take my duties as Commonwealth’s Attorney very seriously – as do all of the Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorneys and other staff who work in my office. We all know that doing our jobs effectively dramatically impacts the quality of life in our community – the same community in which we also live and work.
Fighting crime is personal passion for me. I come from a family with a long history of fighting for crime victims in Kenton County. My father served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in this very office, and my grandfather served as assistant police chief and chief of detectives for the Covington Police Department.
Since January 1, 2007, I have been proud to continue this family tradition serving as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Kenton County. I sincerely appreciate my re-election to this position in November 2012, I look forward to continuing to serve you in this capacity for another six year term.
