Covington Police round-up drug trafficking suspects
On Thursday, May 30, 2013, Covington Police SWAT Team, K9 units, and narcotics detectives fanned out across the city to round-up 42 suspects wanted on narcotics trafficking charges involving heroin, cocaine, and pain pills. The round-up netted over two dozen arrests. The suspects remaining at large are now subject to arrest warrants. The day of arrests was the culmination of more than three months of investigations involving over three hundred undercover drug buys of more than twenty-two thousand dollars worth of illegal narcotics. Covington Police were assisted by the DEA, KY National Guard, and the Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office. Read more about the drug arrests here.
