Welcome Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Katherine B. Bumgarner
On November 1, 2012, Katherine B. Bumgarner was sworn in as Kenton County’s newest Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney by Kenton Circuit Judge Patricia M. Summe.
Kate is a graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where she was a classmate of Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorneys Lawrence Hilton and Josh McIntosh. She was previously employed as a prosecutor in Ripley County, Indiana.
Kate earned dual degrees in government and international relations from Centre College, where she also played intercollegiate volleyball. Kate is native of Louisville, Kentucky. She is married to Kyle Bumgarner, also an attorney, and the couple currently resides in Boone County.
